Wannabe Music

CALL TO ALL MUSICIANS AND SINGERS!!: We have announced our next meetup scheduled for Saturday, November 2, 2019 from 12:45pm to 3:15pm. Please click here to learn more.

Have you ever really wanted to play music or sing with others, and thought that it was just not possible? What were the reasons that you thought that it wasn't possible? Was it because you think that you can't fit the time or commitment in your life now? Maybe it was because you just didn't know anyone that you can play or sing with in the community. Maybe you just don't wan't to play or sing professionally and would just be interested in jamming with others. Maybe you are just learning.

Wannabe Music is a community project set in the New York City area for all ages that is meant to help you collaborate with other musicians and singers.

Our goal is to empower you to play music or sing within the community (non-professional or professional), and enable you to be an expressed individual through music. Why is that important to us? We believe that you (as a professional musician or singer or a relative beginner) can find a level of individuality that will allow you to change your life, to feel self-expressed, and enable you to live your life powerfully.

For me there is something primitively soothing about this music, and it went straight to my nervous system, making me feel ten feet tall.
Eric Clapton

Good music comes out of people playing together, knowing what they want to do and going for it. You have to sweat over it and bug it to death. You can't do it by pushing buttons and watching a TV screen.
Keith Richards, The Rolling Stones

In addition, as well as self-expression and empowering you as an individual, Wannabe Music believes playing music or singing with others allows you to work together with your community to take on whatever you want in life. You can be a source of inspiration for yourself and for others in your life.

Music can change the world because it can change people.
Bono, U2

The reason I play music is to touch people - for selfish reasons, as well. It feels good to make someone else feel something, whether it's a kiss, a painting, good idea or it's a song.
Dave Matthews, Dave Matthews Band

We look forward to help you live your personal dreams.
